Exterior lights
Common exterior lamps have: headlights, fog lamps, license plate lamps, reversing lamps, brake lamps, turn signals, position lamps, outline lamps, parking lamps and warning lamps, as shown in Figure 6-l. External lamps and lanterns generally use white, orange and red; vehicles performing special tasks, such as fire trucks, police cars, ambulances, emergency vehicles, are red, yellow or blue flashing warning lights with priority passing. Motor vehicles should be on time to participate in safety testing and comprehensive testing to ensure that the external lamps and lanterns are complete and effective.
  (1) headlights commonly known as “headlights”, mounted on both sides of the head of the car, used to illuminate the road in front of the car. There are two light system, four light system. When the four headlights are installed side by side, the one installed on the outside corresponds to the near and far light double beam light; the one installed on the inside corresponds to the far light single beam light. The high beam is generally 40-60W, and the low beam is generally 35-55W.
  (2) Fog lamps are installed on the head or tail of the car. In foggy days, snow, heavy rain or dusty conditions, it is used to improve the lighting of the road in front of the car. The power of front fog light is 45-55 W, and the light color is orange. Rear fog lamp power is 21W or 6W, light color is red, to warn the trailing vehicle to maintain a safe distance.
  (3) license plate lights installed in the rear of the car above the license plate or left and right, used to illuminate the rear license plate, the power is generally 5-10W, to ensure that pedestrians in the car behind 20m to see the text and numbers on the license plate.
  (4) reversing lights installed in the rear of the car, when the transmission in reverse gear, automatically illuminate the rear side of the car, while warning the rear of the vehicle pedestrian attention to safety.

Interior lights

Common interior lights have overhead lights, reading lights, luggage compartment lights, door lights, step lights, instrument lighting, work lights, dashboard police indicators, as shown in Figure 6-2.   (1) top light cars and trucks generally have only one top light, in addition to the interior lighting, but also to monitor whether the door is reliably closed role.   (3) luggage compartment light installed in the luggage compartment of the car or bus, when the luggage compartment cover is opened, the light automatically illuminates, illuminates the space in the luggage compartment. Power is 5W.
  (4) door light is installed in the car door of the car open the door at the bottom of the inside, when the door is opened, the door light glows, in order to notice later pedestrians, vehicles pay attention to avoid. Power is 5W, the light color is red.
  (5) step light is mounted on the steps inside the passenger door of medium-sized and large buses. When opening the passenger door at night, illuminate the pedal.
  (6) Instrument lighting is installed on the reverse side of the instrument panel, used to illuminate the instrument pointer and scale board, power 2 W. Instrument lighting is generally connected in parallel with the position light and license plate light. Some car instrument lighting intensity can be adjusted.
  (7) Alarm and indicator lights Commonly have oil pressure alarm light, high water temperature alarm light, charging indicator light, turn indicator light, high beam indicator light, etc., alarm light is generally red, yellow, indicator light is generally green or blue.
